Biomerix RCR Patch™
Biomerix RCR Patch™ featuring the Biomerix Biomaterial™
The Biomerix RCR Patch is designed for use in reinforcement of soft tissues that are repaired by suture or suture anchors during rotator cuff repair surgery. The Biomerix Biomaterial is the essential feature that provides an environment to aid and fortify cellular ingrowth, as new tissue is remodeled by the body's own restorative processes, resulting a high-quality soft tissue repair.
Biomerix RCR Patch's construction is designed to:
- Facilitate rapid fibrocollagenous tissue ingrowth for durable,
constructive remodeling
- The unique three-dimensional, open-cell macroporous architecture provides an ideal environment to support tissue remodeling
- Permanent reinforcement throughout the entire healing response
- A permanent implant with a highly accessible void content (>90%), the Biomerix RCR Patch supports tissue ingrowth for the duration of the reparative process, thereby providing long-term mechanical stability
- Material demonstrates excellent biocompatibility
- Only non-resorbable mesh indicated for rotator cuff repair, minimizing the inflammatory response associated with resorbable and biologic solutions
- No risk of donor or prionic disease transmission
- Offer a cost-effective solution
- First and only implant solution for rotator cuff repair designed to provide permanent support and reinforcement at a competitive price
- Optimize handling characteristics
- The soft, flexible nature of the Biomerix RCR Patch allows it to conform to the target defect site with ease
- Enables delivery arthoscopically, due to its inherent compliant and pliable structure
